While speaking on his YouTube channel, the former WWF writer Vince Russo revealed that he’s been working with the USA Network since 2020.
“From March, pre-Mania, bro, it was right before Mania in 2020, up until this past Mania in 2022. So basically, bro, for two years, I was consulting for the USA Network.
“I got in contact with the Vice President at the USA Network, who was overseeing RAW. He knew who I was, called me back immediately, and we had a long discussion. So the first thing he did was he went directly to Vince McMahon.”
Russo, who worked for the Federation during the company’s Attitude Era, left in 1999 to join WCW, where he inexplicably became World Heavyweight Champion.
Russo would briefly return to WWE in 2002 as a writer and later consultant, before being released again.
