Drew McIntyre Wants Stonecold

If the WWE Hall of Famer wants to come back to the ring for one more match, the Scottish Warrior would be up for a showdown.

Steve Austin retired from professional wrestling in 2003 due to a serious neck injury. But The Texas Rattlesnake surprised the WWE Universe at WrestleMania 38 by agreeing to a No Holds Barred match with RAW's Kevin Owens. The Bionic Redneck had previously agreed to show up as a guest on Owens' show, but after 19 years away from the ring, he was suddenly back in the squared circle.

The WWE legend will turn 58 years of age in December, and at this point, it's safe to say that he's absolutely done in the ring. But if he were to wrestle again, the two-time WWE Champion would welcome a match with him.

"If he wants to get in the ring one more time with Drew McIntyre, I can assure you that’ll be a dream come true," the former TNA World Heavyweight champion stated in an interview with Riju Dasgupta of Sportskeeda Wrestling before Clash @ the Castle. "I’m sure you’ve seen the sit-down interview I did last week on SmackDown, they showed those pictures when I was a kid and I’m lying on my Stone Cold bedsheets with my Stone Cold merchandise. You can get an idea of how big that would be for me."

The WWE Hall of Famer would defeat KO in the main event of day one for WrestleMania 38, but The Texas Rattlesnake wasn't done with the festivities. At day two of the show, Steve delivered his iconic Stonecold Stunner finisher on Vince McMahon, Austin Theory and Pat McAfee; Vinnie Mac had defeated McAfee in a singles bout just moments after the former NFL punter defeated Theory in a one-on-one showdown.

After WrestleMania, it was reported that there aren't any plans for the Bionic Redneck to come back for another match. It's tough to envision Austin topping the effort he put on against The Prized Fighter, so it would be fairly surprising if he did decide to compete in another match.

A Big Weekend For Drew McIntyre

As of this Post. McIntyre is almost a week removed from facing Roman Reigns in what was arguably the biggest match of the former's career. The Scottish Warrior challenged The Tribal Chief for the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship at Saturday's Clash at the Castle pay-per-view {in a losing effort}, which ran inside Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. The Needle Mover just hit the two-year mark as the Universal title holder.
